Hubei Luke , as part of a major initiative to strengthen international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, has successfully delivered a batch of advanced high-power emergency rescue power supply trucks to the Mirano Power Plant in Indonesia. The shipment, completed in late July 2024, marks a milestone in Luke Truck's expansion into the Southeast Asian infrastructure and energy sectors, aligning with Indonesia's growing demand for reliable and environmentally friendly industrial equipment.
The Miranow Power Plant, located in Aceh Province, Sumatra, is a key coal-fired power project developed by China Datang Corporation, a leading Chinese energy conglomerate. As the largest foreign-invested power plant in Aceh, it plays a critical role in stabilizing the northern Sumatra grid and supporting Indonesia's industrialization goals. With a total installed capacity of 1,320 MW, the plant prioritizes environmental sustainability, adopting circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers to reduce sulfur emissions and achieving zero wastewater discharge through advanced treatment systems.
Luke Truck was selected to enhance operational safety and environmental management at the plant. The power supply truck was purchased to ensure uninterrupted operations. The truck features a large fuel tank and precise emissions, ensuring compliance with Indonesia's stringent environmental regulations.
Founded in 2015 and based in Suizhou, Hubei Province—China's renowned "Special Purpose Vehicle Capital"—Luke Truck specializes in manufacturing firefighting, sanitation, and emergency response vehicles. The company holds ISO 9001 certification and 3C certification，ensuring its products meet international quality standards. Its export portfolio includes markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, with recent projects such as a 2023 contract to supply transport vehicles for Indonesia's Batang Hydropower Station.
This latest deal reflects the robust growth of China's special purpose vehicle exports. According to industry data, China's special purpose vehicle exports surged by 44.6% in 2024, reaching 52,100 units, with engineering vehicles like fire trucks and water sprinklers accounting for 18% of total shipments. Suizhou-based manufacturers, including Luke Truck, have been pivotal in driving this trend by leveraging competitive pricing, technological innovation, and tailored solutions for overseas clients.
